Police identify elderly woman found on South Side with public`s help

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

With the public's help, Chicago police identified an elderly woman found wandering in the South Shore neighborhood. She was reunited with her family late Sunday.

The confused woman was located in the 7300 block of South Bennett Avenue and did not know her name or address, police said.

She was described as 80-85 years old, 5-foot-5, 100 pounds with gray hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion. She is wearing a black Calvin Klein jacket, a red turtleneck sweater, black pants and black gym shoes.

Anyone who knew the woman's identity were asked to contact Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8380.
