High school friends collecting camping gear for special needs camps

WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

Gearin' Up is a non-profit organization that collects gently used clean camp gear, board games, art supplies and raises money to donate to special need camps: Camp Kesem and St. Francis on the Lake.

You can help with the camping gear donation drive this Sunday, May 26 at the West Bloomfield Jewish Community Center from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

The center is located at 6600 West Maple Road, West Bloomfield, MI 48322. For more information, call 248-804-7434 or 248-318-8960.

Gearin' up t-shirts will also be for sale, with proceeds going to the two camps.
