Armed robberies increase in Grand Boulevard neighborhood

Police are seeking the public's help in locating the suspects in several armed robberies in the South Side Grand Boulevard neighborhood in May.

According to an alert from Area Central detectives, the robberies occurred:

In the 3900 block of South King Drive at 10:50 a.m. May 20

In the 400 block of East Oakwood Boulevard at 4:45 a.m. May 12

In the 500 block of East Pershing Road at 9:25 a.m. May 14

The suspects are described as one to two black males between 18 and 29 years old, police said. They are 5-feet-8 to 6-feet and 140 to 240 pounds, according to the alert.
