Alert issued after jogger sexually assaulted on South Side

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Chicago police have issued a community alert following the sexual assault of a male jogger on the South Side Friday afternoon.

At approximately 4 p.m. a male was jogging southbound in the 2900 block of South Vernon Avenue, when he was approached by

two males, the alert said.

One of the attackers grabbed the victim from behind and placed a hard object into his side while his accomplice demanded money.

The one who demanded money then demanded that the victim perform a sex act, the alert said.

Both offenders were described as black males between 18 and 20 years old, with short black hair and medium complexions. One was 6-feet tall and 165 pounds, wearing a blue hooded sweater and dark jeans, while the other was 5-feet, 8-inches tall, between 130 and 150 pounds, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and Nike gym shoes.
