May 11: A chilly Mother's Day weekend

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Time break out the jackets as an unseasonably chilly air mass settles in through Mother's Day.

A few areas of drizzle early Friday, but skies will gradually clear overnight with lows in the lower 40s.

Another cold front swings through early on Saturday with only a few light showers along with breezy conditions. Highs will climb to near 60

Clear and cold Saturday night with lows in the mid 30s.

Sunny, but chilly weather is expected on Mother's Day with highs in the mid 50s.

Saturday: Partly sunny and breezy with a few showers early. Highs: 57-62 Lows: 38-43

Sunday: Mostly sunny and chilly. Highs: 54-59 Lows: 37-42

Monday: Mostly sunny and a little warmer. Highs: 60-65 Lows: 42-47

Tuesday: Mostly sunny and pleasant. Highs: 78-83 Lows: 45-50

Wednesday: Partly sunny, breezy, & warm. Chance of a late night thunderstorm. Highs: 80-85 Lows: 55-60

Thursday: Partly sunny with a few showers early. Turning cooler. Highs: 68-73 Lows: 50-55

Friday: Mostly sunny and nice. Highs: 68-73 Lows: 45-50
