CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
Grab the umbrellas Thursday as a slow moving cold front will push through the area bringing another round of wet and stormy weather along with some chilly temperatures by the weekend. Rainfall amounts will range from .50" to 1.0" in some spots.
The severe weather threat at this point should stay south of the Chicago metro.
The cold front moves out gradually on Friday as drier and colder air moves in. Highs will only climb to near 60 Friday.
Another cold front swings through early on Saturday with a few light showers.
Sunny, but chilly weather is expected on Mother's Day with highs in the mid 50s.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy with showers and a few thunderstorms. Highs: 70-75 Lows: 48-53
Friday: Becoming partly sunny and cooler. Chance of showers & thunderstorms early. Highs: 55-60 Lows: 40-45
Saturday: Partly sunny with a few showers early. Highs: 58-63 Lows: 38-43
Sunday: Mostly sunny and chilly. Highs: 54-59 Lows: 37-42
Monday: Mostly sunny and a little warmer. Highs: 60-65 Lows: 42-47
Tuesday: Mostly sunny and pleasant. Highs: 70-75 Lows: 45-50
