Atlanta's largest auto dealership group has a new name, and it's AutoNation.  President/COO Mike Maroone and CEO Mike Jackson celebrated the change in brand with employees in Atlanta on Tuesday.

Twelve Team franchises around the metro Atlanta area will now become part of the AutoNation brand.  The Fort Lauderdale retailer—America's largest—is swapping out regional brand names in 17 markets across the country for the single AutoNation brand.  Locally, Team dealerships sell Nissan, Chevrolet, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Toyota, Scion and FIAT.

In February, the company announced that over 200 franchises would be branded under the unified AutoNation name from coast to coast by the end of June.  Jackson and Maroone were joined by 550 company employees for the Atlanta market's rebranding event.

"I think it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, to launch the first ever, coast-to-coast auto retail brand—it's a unique moment in time," Maroone told FOX 5.

AutoNation and sells nearly 500,000 vehicles each year and has revenue of over $15 billion.  AutoNation has 59 stores and 66 franchises.
