Glencoe police search for coyote suspected of attacking 2 dogs

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Police in north suburban Glencoe are looking for the den of a coyote suspected of attacking two Maltese dogs in three days.

The first attack was on April 28 on the 400 block of Lakeside. The second attack was on May 1 on the 500 block of Sheridan Road.

One of the dogs is back home, but the Sheridan Road dog is still at an area animal hospital.

Animal control said the coyote could be hunting to provide for pups, since some of coyotes' springtime young are still in dens.
