PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia police on Tuesday unveiled a new mobile surveillance system officers say will provide real-time surveillance to officials during the Broad Street Run.

The system, called SENTRY, is equipped with integrated night-day cameras.

Police say the mobile units were provided to the city for Sunday's Broad Street Run courtesy of SF Worldwide LLC (S4W) as part of a public-private partnership. The partnership comes in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings, police said.

Officials are increasing security the day of the race and have taken several measures, including clear bags for runners.
