Three teens hit by car in Chicago Lawn

Three teenagers were hospitalized after they were hit by a vehicle while walking Tuesday morning in the South Side Chicago Lawn neighborhood.

The teens were crossing the street in the 5900 block of South Western Avenue when they were struck by a vehicle exiting a parking lot about 11:50 a.m., police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada said.

All three were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition, according to Fire Media Affairs.

The driver remained on the scene, police said.
