Chicago's Most Wanted: Juan Quezada

Posted: Updated:

Juan Quezada is an individual the FBI considers a real danger to the community based on not one, but two alleged assaults on children.

Quezada is accused of sexually assaulting a 6-year-old-girl who lived in the same apartment building he did. In August 2007 Quezada was arrested by Chicago Police detectives and charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a child. He later confessed to the crime.

At the time, Quezada was living with a woman who operated a day care service out of her home and, after posting bond on the initial charges, FBI agents believe he sexually assaulted a young girl who attended the daycare. Quezada was not charged in the second case, but he was wanted for questioning. However investigators learned that Quezada fled the state while on bond, so in February 2012 he was charged in a Federal warrant with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

Chicago Police and the FBI continue to check residences and locations associated with Quezada. Although they received credible evidence that Quezada fled the state, he has strong ties to Chicago and also has family members living in Northwest Indiana. So there is a good possibility that he returned. Agents are asking for the public's help in tracking him down.

Here is the FBI's description of Juan Quezada.
