BALA CYNWYD, Pa. -

A police pursuit led to a terrifying scene in Bala Cynwyd when a car crashed through a store, narrowly missing people inside

Police say the car was headed northbound on Highland Avenue when it went onto Bala Avenue and went through the store.

Elena Costello and her co-worker say they are lucky to be alive.

The women were in the back of the "Walls and Windows" store when the car crashed through.

Surveillance video shows the driver running from the scene.

He was later arrested by Lower Merion police, who say he confessed to stealing the car.

The driver was also taken to Lankenau Medical Center for minor injuries.
