April 19: Drying out for the weekend

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Get ready for a cold night around the Chicago area Friday as low temperatures drop into the lower 30s under mostly cloudy skies.

Check out the latest rainfall totals on NOAA's website.

The weekend looks cool and dry with highs in the upper 40s Saturday and into the upper 50s Sunday.

Next week looks a little more active with isolated showers and thunderstorms, but no major storm system is expected.

Saturday: Mostly sunny and cool. Highs: 46-51 Lows: 30-35

Sunday: Partly sunny and warmer. Chance of a shower north. Highs: 53-58 Lows: 38-43

Monday: Mostly cloudy with a few showers & isolated thunderstorms late. Highs: 60-65 Lows: 45-50

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy and cooler with showers & isolated thunderstorms early. Highs: 54-59 Lows: 38-43

Wednesday: Mostly sunny & cool. Highs: 51-56 Lows: 35-40

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers. Highs: 50-55 Lows: 40-45

Friday: Mostly cloudy & cool with a few showers. Highs: 50-55 Lows: 41-46
