CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
There is a Flood Watch for the Chicago area beginning Wednesday afternoon through Thursday night.
Rainfall amounts Wednesday through Thursday could exceed 2" in areas north and west of the Chicago metro. There is also a slight risk for severe storms both Wednesday and Thursday with the main threat being wind and hail.
Much colder weather will arrive Friday with highs dipping into the upper 40s. There is a chance of morning showers on Friday.
The start of the weekend looks cool, but dry with highs near 50.
Wednesday: Mostly cloudy and warmer with afternoon showers & isolated thunderstorms. Highs: 54-59 Lows: 45-50
Thursday: Cloudy, windy, and warm with showers and isolated thunderstorms. Highs: 63-69 Lows: 50-55
Friday: Partly sunny and cool with scattered flurries and light rain. Highs: 41-46 Lows: 25-30
Saturday: Mostly sunny and cool. Highs: 50-55 Lows: 30-35
Sunday: Partly sunny and warmer. Chance of a thunderstorm. Highs: 54-59 Lows: 38-43
Monday: Mostly cloudy with a few showers & isolated thunderstorms. Highs: 60-65 Lows: 45-50
Tuesday: Partly sunny and seasonal. Highs: 58-63 Lows: 38-43
