DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -
More than a month after he was struck while taking out the trash, police are hoping a tip will lead them to the hit and run driver that killed a 10-year-old boy on Detroit's east side.
Police say Christopher Sandoval was hit when someone drove up on the curb in front of his home on Bringard Drive and Cordell near Eastland Mall on Sunday, March 4th. Crime Stoppers of Michigan is now offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest.
The driver is described as a white male in his 40's with a mustache who was driving a red 2000 or 2001 Dodge Ram, possibly with a snowplow attached.
