CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Most celebs love Chicago because of the lack of paparazzi, but photogs or not - Lady Gaga got noticed in a big way on Saturday.

The artist, who is in town while boyfriend Taylor Kinney films "Chicago Fire," shut down Bikram River North Saturday afternoon.

Gaga has been spotted wheeling around town in a custom made Louis Vuitton wheelchair, since her hip surgery in late February, and apparently hot yoga is the perfect rehab.

Sources told Celeb TV host and Good Day Chicago entertainment contributor Kelli Zink that when they arrived for the 3:30 p.m. class on Saturday, they were greeted by a couple of huge "body guard types" that were blocking the door. The big guys informed the yogis that the studio was shut down for a private client – aka Gaga and her friends.

Zink was told the studio was extremely apologetic with the delay and everyone got a glimpse of Gaga as she left the class!

According to US Weekly - she celebrated her birthday week Tuesday night at Spaggia and Thursday at a local hotel for a private celebration.

Also spotted:

"Snitch" Director Ric Roman, local actors Carla Abruzzo and Jacob Alexander and a huge group of former Chicago Blackhawks were at Mahoney's in the West Loop. They were there for former Blackhawk Reid Simpson, who threw a birthday bash for his girlfriend Maggie Hughes.
