Teens learn deadly dangers of bullying

Posted: Updated:

Metro Atlanta teenagers learned the dangers of bullying and teen violence during a special program in Decatur on Saturday.

The mother of the Douglas County teen killed by a group of young men in a random attack two years ago shared her tragic story with the group in the hopes it would save at least one life in the future.

Monique Rivarde delivered a powerful message to the teens, preaching the dangers of violence and bullying during a teen summit.

This mother is on a mission after losing her own son, Bobby Tillman, in a senseless act of violence two years ago.

Four young men are behind bars facing lengthy prison sentences for their actions that fateful night in 2010.

Police say the teens jumped Bobby Tillman as the 18 year old left a party in Douglas County. The teen died from repeated blows sustained by the random attack.

Teens attending the Work Hard, Play Hard Bullying Tour learn the dangers of bullying through words and song.

Rirvarde and a group of young entertainers hope their efforts will help to put an end to the violence.
