CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

One man was killed and two others were injured in a crash early Sunday on the Bishop Ford Expressway on the Far South Side, authorities said.

The two-vehicle crash happened about 3:32 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the expressway (I-94) near 111th Street, Illinois State Police Master Jeanette Sergeant Beck said.

Jonell Barlow, 27, of Griffin, Ind., was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:25 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Two others were taken to Roseland Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Alcohol is thought to be a factor in the crash, Illinois State Police said in a release.
