Bears agree to terms with backup quarterback

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) - The Chicago Bears have agreed to terms on a 1-year contract with quarterback Josh McCown.

McCown is returning to the Bears after spending parts of 2 seasons with the team. The Bears on Friday did not release terms of the contract.

The 6-4, 213-pound McCown has started 33 of 50 games since being drafted 81st overall by the Arizona Cardinals in 2002. He has 645 completions for 6,998 yards, 37 touchdowns and 44 interceptions over his career.

McCown has rushed for 637 yards on 139 attempts and three touchdowns.
