Ill. foreclosures four times greater than national average

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Illinois foreclosure activity is four times the national average.

Nearly 138,000 homes in the state were in the foreclosure inventory at the end of the first quarter. That's up nearly 36 percent over the same period last year, according to Realty Trac.

Nationally, the number of homes in the foreclosure pipeline increased 9 percent year-over-year.
