A fourth woman has filed a lawsuit against a southwest suburban Frankfort pediatrician.
In a lawsuit filed this week, a mother claims Kishor N. Jain fondled her daughter in June while leaving an exam room after a visit to obtain a prescription refill.
Jain, 59, of the 700 block of Tanglewood Lane in Frankfort, now faces four lawsuits filed in Will County by women accusing him of fondlng them during office visits. Jain also faces 10 criminal counts of sex abuse and five counts of battery.
The latest lawsuit, which also names Jain's former employer, Hedges Clinic in Frankfort, as a defendant, claims Jain put his hand down the minor girl's pants and squeezed as she walked behind her mother while leaving an exam room. The girl's mother claimed she turned around just as Jain was pulling his hand out of the girl's pants.
Jain had been working as a pediatrician at Hedges Clinic, 222 Colorado Ave. He no longer works there, a clinic supervisor confirmed, and had his medical license suspended by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.
Jain is scheduled to appear in court on the criminal charges April 25.
Jessica Schubbe called police in August 2011 after she was allegedly fondled by Jain during an office visit for her child. In January, Schubbe filed a lawsuit against Jain with the same allegations. Schubbe's lawyer said media coverage of her lawsuit gave other women the courage to come forward to Frankfort police, which led to the criminal charges, police said.
Jain turned himself in to police Feb. 15 when he learned of a warrant for his arrest on the criminal charges. He posted bond and was released.
His next court date on the criminal charges is set for April 25.
