CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Police issued an alert Wednesday warning River North residents of a recent string of burglaries, and released surveillance photos of possible suspects.

The burglar enters homes while residents are away during the day and steals cash, laptops and tablet computers, according to the alert from Area Central detectives.

Robberies have occurred multiple times in the 500 block of North Kingsbury Street and once in the 1200 block of North Wells, according to the alert.

Police advise residents to keep doors and windows secured, and to report any suspicious activity immediately.

Anyone with information should call detectives at (312) 747-8384.
