Currency Exchange robbed on West Side

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A Currency Exchange was robbed Monday morning on the Lower West Side, police said.

The robbery happened about 8 a.m. in the 2000 block of South Ashland Avenue when three men, one armed with a handgun, demanded money from a female employee, police said.

No one was hurt and the men fled with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

A description of the suspects was not immediately available.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
