DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

Students at Detroit's Murphy Elementary-Middle school were forced to evacuated as crews responded to reports of a fire inside the building.

Several groups of students and staff could be seen standing outside, many without coats, after the building in the 23,000 block of Fenkell Street was evacuated just after noon on Wednesday. Several pieces of fire equipment could be also seen at the school but so far the exact nature of the fire is unknown. Students returned to the building a short time after being evacuated.
