Watch the Chicago River turn green at the Renaissance Hotel

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Chicago's St. Patrick's Day parade is this Saturday, and one of its traditions is dyeing the Chicago River – green!

So where is the best place to watch this cool process take place? Good Day Chicago has some suggestions.

The Renaissance Hotel has one of the best views of the Chicago River in the city, and they're offering some scrumptious food and drink specialties in honor of the holiday.

Chef Ben Walker showed Good Day how to make their Guinness Chocolate Stout Cupcakes Wednesday morning. Chef Espinoza showed how they make their Stout-Braised Short Ribs.

The river is scheduled to turn green at 10 a.m. Saturday, and the parade follows.
