2 young men pretend to have weapons, demand cash: Alert

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -
Police are searching for two young men who robbed several people last month on the South Side.
The suspects approach people on the street or sidewalk, display a weapon and demand money and other items, according to a community alert from Area Central detectives.
The robberies occurred at the following locations:
5000 Block of South Indiana Avenue on Feb. 1 at 1:58 a.m.
900 Block of East 45th Street on Feb. 8, at 6:50 a.m.
0-100 Block of West Garfield Boulevard on Feb. 8, 2013 at 7:26 a.m.
5100 Block of South Michigan Avenue on Feb. 22 at 11:15 p.m.
The suspects are described as 17 to 19-year-old black men, 5-feet-6 to 6-feet and 140 to 170 pounds, the alert said.
