The Chicago Flower & Garden Show, a kid's fashion show, a scavenger hunt at the Art Institute and a Martha Stewart party for brides-to-be are Time Out Chicago's Marissa Conrad's recs for your Perfect Weekend.

Chicago Flower & Garden Show Festival Hall at Navy Pier, 600 E Grand Ave (chicagoflower.com). Sat 9–Mar 17: Mon–Sat 10am–8pm, Sun 10am–6pm; weekdays $17 (advance $15), weekends $19 (advance $17), kids ages 4–12 $5. This gorgeous celebration of blooms takes over Navy Pier. Highlights include the Garden Gourmet stage, where 34 Chicago chefs demonstrate how to make tasty dishes using farm-to-table ingredients, and "Tablescapes," an exhibit featuring the dinner-party settings of 16 local designers.

Murder at the Art Museum Scavenger Hunt Art Institute of Chicago, 111 S Michigan Ave (877-946-4868, ext 22, watsonadventures.com). 2pm; $36. Relive the friendly competition of scavenger hunts with Watson Adventures. Its events send teams of adults searching for answers to questions while they explore various neighborhoods or museums. Today's hunt takes you through the Art Institute's collection. Museum admission is included; comfortable shoes are recommended. Reservations required.

America's foremost authority on homemaking enlists Martha Stewart Weddings editorial director Darcy Miller to spearhead this roving expo with cohost and local planner Meghan Andalman of Lovebird Events. The city's top vendors and experts are conveniently located under one roof to assist with all things nuptial.

Pint-size models work the runway in stylist Kesha Styles Wilson's competitive fashion show, in which two rivaling stylists showcase ten different "carnival couture" looks for kids. The evening includes fashion vendors, interactive games, food and drinks. Money raised during the silent auction benefits the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN).
