Quinn works out contract with AFSCME union

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Gov. Pat Quinn has worked out an important contract deal with the state's largest employee union.

It's a 3-year tentative agreement between the governor and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Union.

It provides no pay raises this year.

But union members will get 2 percent raises the last two years.

They'll also be paying health insurance premiums for the first time ever.
