CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
FOX 32's Amara Walker practiced for the 8th annual "Dancing with Chicago Celebrities" Tuesday morning. Competition proceeds benefit breast cancer research.
You can buy tickets to the March 8, event or make a donation for Team Amara. The funds raised will go to the Northwestern Memorial Foundation, which supports an innovative research effort supporting a breast cancer vaccine trial.
Amara will be performing a Cha-Cha number, full of hip swiveling and in full ballroom costume. She has been practicing for a few months now, along with the other competitors – including celebrity chef Rick Bayless and Miss Illinois. Representatives from all the other local TV stations are dancing too!
Former Chicago Bear Anthony Adams is performing this year, as former Bear Desmond Clark did last year. He's now a judge!
