High pressure settles in briefly on Sunday and brings a return of sunshine and highs near freezing. Clouds increase Monday ahead of another strong winter storm.
This storm looks to track slightly farther south than last Friday's storm giving us a better chance for accumulating snow. The forecast models all develop snow across the Chicago area pre-dawn on Tuesday, but they are conflicted with how much. Right now we could snow Tuesday morning through Wednesday morning with some freezing rain mixing in late in the day. Totals range from 2-4" with one model to 4-8" with another model. Stay tunes for latest updates.
Thursday and Friday there is a chance of flurries.
