February 22: Snow will taper off Friday morning

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for all of the Chicago area beginning 9 p.m. Thursday night through 6 p.m. Friday.

Snow developed late Thursday evening into Friday with 3-5" of snow for Friday morning. Some the snow may change to freezing rain by Friday morning. Lighter amounts are expected south and east of I-80.

The snow will taper off late Friday morning with a few snow showers throughout the afternoon. Highs tomorrow will warm into the mid-30s.

A dry upcoming weekend with highs in the 30s and nights in the lower 20s.

Friday: Cloudy and breezy with morning light snow and freezing drizzle. Highs: 32-37 Lows: 15-20

Saturday: Partly sunny and seasonal. Highs: 30-35 Lows: 23-38

Sunday: Partly sunny and pleasant. Highs: 34-40 Lows: 22-27

Monday: Mostly cloudy and warmer with light rain and snow. Highs: 35-40 Lows: 25-30

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy and colder with periods of light snow and flurries early. Highs: 30-35 Lows: 20-25

Wednesday: Partly sunny and chilly. Highs: 28-33 Lows: 20-25

Thursday: Partly sunny and continued chilly. Highs: 28-33 Lows: 20-25
