CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -
Do you think chocolate, strawberries and champagne can make your skin softer and radiant? Cosmetic chemist Elina Fedotova created a line of skin care that may be good enough to eat.
Chocolate Champagne Oil
INGREDIENTS:
1/4 large bar of dark chocolate
8 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp champagne or sparkling wine
Optional: A few drops of rose or lavender essential oils
DIRECTIONS:
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler.
Gently blend the sunflower oil and champagne into the chocolate.
Apply and massage onto dry skin areas.
The antioxidants in the chocolate help renew the skin; the alpha hydroxy acids from the champagne have an exfoliating effect, while the sunflower oil works as a moisturizer.
