Sandi Jackson under investigation, Grammy dress code: Chat Room

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

On Thursday's Chat Room, Sun-Times Splash Editor Susanna Negovan and Lifestyle Consultant Rochelle Trotter chat about Sandi Jackson and Grammy dress codes!

Former alderwoman Sandi Jackson has recently been quoted as feeling "thrown under the bus" by her embattled husband, Jesse Jackson Jr. After standing by his side through all of his political and personal issues, she now finds herself under a separate federal investigation for misuse of campaign funds.

Susanna thinks that she should be held to the same scrutiny as any other politician, as she is a public figure and thus has a code of ethics she is responsible to uphold for citizens of her ward. Rochelle agreed, however stated that Sandi should only be investigated for what she spent, not what her husband did. Additionally, it's interesting that Sandi is being investigated for her knowledge (and use) of inappropriate funds from Jesse Jackson Jr, while Patti Blagojevich was not investigated at all relative to Rob's allegations. Things that make you go hummmmm.

Next, the ladies laughed about the Grammy sending out "dress code" guidelines for its guests and performers this year.

Rochelle thinks this is a joke, as no governing board is going to dictate how an entertainer expresses him or herself in dressing. Unless of course a "fashion police" is set to enforce the rules. Susanna thinks it would be nice to watch the show where everyone is dressed appropriately, but it seems that most entertainers like to show skin so she is not sure how this will all work out.
