The man accused of carjacking two women at a nursing home in Fayetteville was taken into custody on Wednesday.
Two women, one in their 80s were pushed around and their car stolen from them just four days before Christmas. FOX 5 cameras were rolling as Charlie Frank Collier, 26, of Fairburn, was brought into the police station on Wednesday.
Police say Collier came out of the woods beside the Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center on Brandywine Boulevard and approached Gloria Altman and her 80-year-old sister who were exchanging Christmas presents. Police say the towering suspect then roughed up the two ladies before taking their car.
Investigators found the stolen car in Alabama. After a search of the car, they found a piece of evidence with Collier's name on it.
Collier is being charged with Robbery by Intimidation, Battery, 2 counts Simple Assault and Theft by Taking Motor Vehicle.
