
A dense fog advisory is in effect for all of the Chicago area until late morning Tuesday.
In addition, a flood watch is in effect Tuesday morning through Tuesday night. The combination of 1-2" of rain on a frozen ground could leave to flooding due to heavy runoff.
Rain will move in Tuesday afternoon along with a few thunderstorms. Rain could be heavy at times with 1-2" possible. There is a slight chance of severe thunderstorms, mainly south of I-80.
Much colder weather arrives Wednesday with a few snow showers. Light accumulations are possible.
Bitterly cold air arrives Thursday and Friday with highs in the teens and lows in the single digits.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy and warm. Rain and thunderstorms by late afternoon. Highs: 60-65 Lows: 30-35
Wednesday: Partly sunny and much colder. Scattered snow showers. Highs: 30-35 Lows: 20-25
Thursday: Mostly sunny and cold. Highs: 15-20 Lows: 5-10
Friday: Mostly sunny and bitterly cold. Highs: 10-15 Lows: 0-5
Saturday: Mostly cloudy with light snow. Highs: 25-30 Lows: 15-20
Sunday: Mostly sunny and warmer. Highs: 30-35 Lows: 18-23
Monday: Partly sunny and pleasant. Highs: 32-37 Lows: 22-27
