
A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for all of the Chicago area beginning Sunday afternoon through early Sunday night. Sleet and eventually freezing rain will spread across the area resulting in some ice accumulations up to two tenths of an inch.
The freezing rain will become all rain late Sunday night as temperatures rise into the lower 40s by Monday morning.
Temperatures next week look to be fairly mild with periods of rain Monday and highs in the mid 40s.
More of the same on Tuesday with highs near 50.
Much colder weather arrives Wednesday with a few snow showers.
Bitterly cold air arrives Thursday and Friday.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy and warmer with a mix sleet and freezing rain. Highs: 30-35 Lows: 23-28
Monday: Cloudy and mild with a chance of showers. Highs: 40-45 Lows: 25-30
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy and very mild. A few showers around. Highs: 50-55 Lows: 30-35
Wednesday: Partly sunny and much colder. Scattered flurries. Highs: 30-35 Lows: 20-25
Thursday: Mostly sunny and cold. Highs: 15-20 Lows: 8-12
Friday: Mostly sunny and bitterly cold. Highs: 10-15 Lows: 0-5
Saturday: Partly sunny and cold. Highs: 15-20 Lows: 5-10
