
Chicago officially dipped below zero for the first time since February of 2011 on Monday morning. Morning wind chills were between -15 and -25.
Highs will only reach the single digits with wind chills near -15 on Monday. Our lack of snow cover is what prevented us from challenging the all-time record of -27.
Next up is the chance for snow on Wednesday, Thursday night and Friday. We may see our first 1"+ snow by Thursday night and Friday morning. Highs back up to the 30s by Sunday.
TUESDAY: Sunny and frigid with highs near 9 and wind chills near -15. Lows near 4.
WEDNESDAY: Partly cloudy with snow showers mainly south of the city. Highs near 20 and lows near 10.
THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow at night. Highs near 25 and lows near 19.
FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy with snow. Highs near 24 and lows near 10.
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny with highs near 23 and lows near 13.
SUNDAY: Increasing clouds with a chance of rain showers mixing with snow. Highs near 34 and lows near 24.
