CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Two men were killed and a woman was injured in a traffic crash early Sunday in the Mount Greenwood neighborhood on the Far Southwest Side, police said.

The fatal crash happened about 2:20 a.m. in the 3400 block of West 115th Street, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.

A vehicle crossed the center line and crashed head on into another vehicle, police said.

Sean Larmon, 36, of the 10800 block of South Whipple Street, was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn at an unidentified time, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

The second victim was identified as Demetrius Caples, 28, of the 9200 block of South Vanderpoel Avenue, according to the medical examiner's office.

The head-on collision pinned some of the people inside the wreckage, and sent a woman to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious-to-critical condition, according to police.

Chicago authorities are investigating the crash, which happened on the city's border with south suburban Merrionette Park, authorities said.
