Warren company warns of autism raffle scam

Posted: Updated:

WARREN, Mich. (WJBK) -- A Warren company is warning neighboring businesses and residents to be on the alert for scammers.

Office workers at Fletcher Paint sent FOX 2 surveillance video of a woman they say pretended to collect money for autism raffle tickets. The woman claimed to represent St. Anne Catholic Church, but that was a lie.

We're told the scammer collected $60 from workers and they weren't the first victims.

A witness describes the woman as having blond with dark roots. She also appeared to have a lazy eye. The man driving the getaway car was in an older model vehicle with a bad muffler.

Anyone with information is asked to call Warren police.
