Metro area dentistry collects snowflakes for Sandy Hook

Posted: Updated:

A metro area dentistry is hoping to welcome students of the new Sandy Hook Elementary School by collecting paper snowflakes.

As part of the national PTA's Snowflake Project, the Dentistry of Children and Family Orthodontics says they have been collecting the paper snowflakes from every child that enters one of their offices. The snowflakes are to be hung at the new Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.

Now the dentistry is welcoming families to bring in their special snowflake for the Sandy Hook students by dropping them off at select offices in the metro area. The collected snowflakes will be packaged and shipped out on January 8.

The snowflakes can be dropped off at offices in Woodstock, Roswell, Cumming , Sandy Springs, Dawsonville, Douglasville, McDonough, Peachtree City, Suwanee, Watkinsville, Snellville, or Stockbridge. Twenty-six people, including 20 young children, were killed in a shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School last month. When classes restarted for the school, the students were moved to a new building.
