Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A month-long test of speed cameras near Chicago schools and parks has quietly come to an end.

The cameras were shut down at the four test areas Thursday.

They had been operating since December 3.

According to the Sun-Times, Mayor Rahm Emanuel's office is not commenting on how the testing went, what happens from here or when the cameras may be turned on for good.

Once those cameras go on drivers could face big fines it they are caught on camera speeding.
