SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -- TGI Friday's in Southfield, this hot spot in the city is always full of action and plenty of party people, but Friday night the parking lot was packed with Southfield PD.

"They were saying that someone got robbed over an iPhone," said Juwanna Holley.

Cops confirmed there was a robbery, but also told Fox 2 there were four suspects and those bad boys had a gun.  That firearm was loaded and it was not just for show.  One of them pointed the pistol, shot it, and their 23-year-old victim was hit in the leg.

The suspects took off heading for the highway, but police caught up with them, pulled them over, cuffed them, and now they're all in custody.

Law enforcement will not rest until they recover that firearm.  They shut down the southbound lanes of the Lodge near Northland Mall looking for it.

Police did not tell us everything that was stolen from the young man, but we know all of his property has been returned to him.  He is in the hospital and stable.

Police have not yet recovered that gun.

Update: 12/31/12: 21-year-old Paris McGhee of Detroit and 19-year-old Jordan Brown of Lima, Ohio are both charged with armed robbery.  19-year-old Kevon Ingram of Lima, Ohio is charged with carrying a concealed weapon.  Brown also faces charges of carrying a conceal weapon and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.  A fourth suspect was not charged.
