FBI, Homeland Security once considered Occupy a potential terror threat

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Newly released documents show the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security considered the Occupy movement a potential terrorism threat.

The documents described several instances where counter-terrorism agents helped monitor protesters across the country.

Some civil rights groups are upset that the agency treated constitutionally protected activity as something that could be potentially criminal.
