CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Starting Thursday, 2.5 million Chicagoans will start receiving "opt -out" energy letters in the mail.

The letters give residents the chance to opt-out of the municipal aggregation energy program, if they like.

Under the new agreement, the average single family household can expect to save about $150 over the next 16 months.
