Hawks throw Christmas party for children

ATLANTA -

The Atlanta Hawks threw a Christmas party at Phillips Arena for more than 200 children on Friday.

Players and cheerleaders treated the boys and girls to dinner and held basketball and dance clinics.

Hawks player Lewis Williams grew up in south Gwinnett County. He says he loves giving back to children here at home.

"I'm a little closer to these people than any other community because…I was raised here so this is always closer and any time we can give back to people I can relate to is always a great thing," said Williams.

The kids also left with autographed pictures of their favorite Hawks players.
