`Les Miserables` star Anne Hathaway exposed, digital billboards in Chicago: Chat Room

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

On Thursday's Chat Room Chicago Sun-Times Splash Editor Susanna Negovan and consultant Rochelle Trotter dish on billboards and body parts.

Mayor Rahm Emmanuel just signed a 20 year deal for electronic billboards to be placed along Chicago highways. This is supposed to generate millions in revenue for the city, but some opponents say it reeks of the city parking meter deal.

Susanna thinks its a good idea because unlike the parking meter contract, this program will share revenue with the city from gross - not net - revenues. Rochelle agreed that its a great way to cut into the almost $300 million dollar deficit. Her only concern is that the bid process has not been transparent. In that way it does seem a lot like the parking meter contract deal.

Next the ladies debated about Anne Hathaway's "body part exposure" while exiting a vehicle for the premiere of Les Miserables. She says that it's wrong for paparazzi to sexualize an unwilling participant - but if you're going to a press event without panties, is it reasonable to expect the paparazzi won't sell the pics?

Susanna thinks that she should have used better judgement - even the tiniest thongs would have covered her private parts. Rochelle thinks she should have practiced standing, sitting, getting up from a seat in the dress in order to be prepared. She has appeared topless in films before, so there is nothing off limits for the press when it comes to capturing her "bottomless."
