SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (Associated Press) -

Illinois state officials will donate extra computers from the federal government to help military veterans find jobs.

According to the Illinois Department of Central Management Services, the 100 refurbished computers will be given to veterans' organizations to provide veterans with online access to job training and state and federal sources that can help them.

CMS oversees the Illinois State Agency for Surplus Property. It distributes state surplus property and coordinates distribution of extra materials from the U.S. General Services Administration.

GSA and the National Association of State Agencies for Surplus Property worked to make the desktop computers available for the Illinois organizations.
