Winter will try to make an appearance Sunday with periods of rain and wet snow, but no accumulations are expected. Flurries are also possible Sunday night.
All of this is due to a vigorous storm system coming out of the northern plains. Highs on Monday will struggle to reach freezing and flurries are possible again. High pressure returns Tuesday bringing sunshine and a slow warm-up from the 30s to the 40s by Thursday.

MONDAY:Mostly cloudy, breezy and cold with flurries and lake effect snow showers in NW Indiana. Highs near 30 and lows near 19.
TUESDAY:Mostly sunny and cold with highs near 33 and lows near 23.
WEDNESDAY:Sunny with highs near 39 and lows near 29.
THURSDAY:Sunny with highs near 42 and lows near 30.
FRIDAY:Partly sunny with increasing clouds and a chance of rain at night. Highs near 44 and lows near 36.
SATURDAY:Cloudy with periods of rain. Highs near 46 and lows near 36.
