ATLANTA -
The Georgia Supreme Court is set to honor a former justice with the unveiling of his portrait in the courtroom.
Former Justice G. Conley Ingram served on the state's highest court from 1973 to 1977. He then spent years in private practice and now serves as a senior judge on the Cobb County Superior Court.
Chief Justice Carol Hunstein will formally accept Ingram's portrait on behalf of the high court during a special ceremony Thursday morning.
Other people expected to attend the ceremony are the former justice's family and friends, the state Supreme Court justices, members of the Georgia Court of Appeals, as well as a number of leaders from the executive, legislative and judicial branches of government.
