Polish fugitive captured in Chicago

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

A Polish fugitive accused of murder has been found in Chicago.

Bartosz Sikorski is wanted in connection with a hit and run crash that killed a pedestrian in 2002.

Two months later, police say Sikorski fled to the United States on a visitor's visa.

In 2010, he was arrested in Cook County for felony theft. An immigration judge ordered him to leave the country voluntarily, but he fled.

He was eventually picked up by federal agents after Polish authorities issued a warrant for his arrest.

Sikorski was flown back to Warsaw on Monday.
